Published on Dec 19, 2017 1:36 pm IST

Natural Star Nani’s forthcoming family entertainer, MCA, is scheduled for a December 21st release. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

Q) Tell us about your role in the film?

A) I’m playing a very normal middle-class family guy, who has his own aspirations and apprehensions. But at the same time, he reacts violently when his family lands in problems.

Q) How was it working with Bhumika?

A) Bhumika is a pure-hearted person by nature. She has become our family member in no time and I treat her like my real sister-in-law.

Q) Tell us about your heroine Sai Pallavi?

A) She is a live wire and always used to be very active on sets. Sai Pallavi’s acting is going to be an added advantage for the film. I’m sure that the audience will fall in love with her character. She is one of my best co-stars.

Q) What is MCA all about?

A) We have revealed the entire story in the trailer itself. Though the basic storyline of the film is very normal, it is presented in an interesting manner.

Q) You have been delivering back to back hits from the past few years. How do you feel about it?

A) Yeah, in one way I’m happy but at the same time, it increases my responsibilities to choose good scripts. At the end of the day, all my producers and buyers should be happy with my films.

Q) Coming back to MCA, tell us about your director Sriram Venu?

A) The moment he narrated this storyline, I immediately liked it and said yes to the film. Generally, I don’t believe in form or out of form words, but judge a director’s abilities with his way of narration. I had immense confidence on Venu, and went ahead and signed the movie.

Q) Tell us about your multi-starrer with Nagarjuna?

A) We both liked the script immensely. Still, the script work is going on. Our makers will officially reveal the complete details about the project soon.

Q) Let’s conclude the interview with your new production venture, Awe?

A) Soon after listening to the script, I felt that it is first of its kind film for Indian cinema and I decided to bankroll it. Though the director had initially planned to work with all newcomers, I suggested him to go with stars to reach out to a larger audience.
