Debutant director Rishi’s Prematho Mee Karthik, which has Karthikeya and Simrat Kaur as the main leads, is scheduled for a November 17th release. On this occasion, we caught up with Karthikeya for a brief interview.

Q) How did you get this opportunity?

A) Becoming an actor has been my childhood dream. I trained myself accordingly and started approaching production houses. In the process, I got to meet the film’s producer and he suggested me to listen to the script. I liked it very much and that’s how the journey started.

Q) What is the film’s story all about?

A) The film’s story deals with an NRI guy who has no emotions and family sentiments. In his visit to India, Karthik gets close to a girl, and how she influences him and changes his mindset is the basic storyline of the film. You can enjoy some hard-hitting family emotions in the film.

Q) Working experience with senior actor Gollapudi Maruthirao?

A) After listening to the script, he immediately said yes to the project. His character is well designed and is really a backbone of our film. Our entire unit is really blessed to work with one of the legendary personalities of Telugu cinema.

Q) Tell us about your director?

A) This is the debut film of our director Rishi. He has clarity on every aspect of the film from the script stage itself. He is very much focused and dedicated. I hope he will also get a good break with this film.

Q) Any specific reason for roping in Malayalam music director Shaan Rahman?

A) We all know that Shaan sir is one of the leading music directors in Malayalam films. Taking him is completely our director’s choice. His songs and background score are going to be the biggest assets for the film.

Q) Tell us about your heroine Simrat Kaur?

A) Actually, she has no filmy background and never seriously tried in films. In a random search, we got her pics and selected her for our film. She really worked hard on her character and did complete justice to her role.
