Natural star Nani, who attained super stardom with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, is back with yet another interesting film Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha. On the occasion of the film’s release, we caught up with Nani for a detailed interview. Let’s see what he has to say.

Q)Are you in a lot of pressure to deliver a huge success after BBM ?

No ! not at all. When some of my previous films don’t do well, there will be a lot of pressure on me to succeed. But luckily, my last two films were received nicely and I am very confident about this film as well.

Q)How did this project shape up ?

Hanu, my director was after me with different scripts. I kept rejecting all his stories and finally okayed this script. I was involved right from the scripting stages and gave my inputs as well.

Q)What is the film all about ?

I play a cowardly character called Krishna who gets into dubious situations because of his 15 year old love story. The film is based in Rayalaseema and how my character goes against all odds and wins his love is the film all about.

Q)Why did you choose a faction backdrop which has become quite old now ?

The kind of feel our film gives is completely different. There wont be a single scene where you will see the typical faction backdrop which we are used to. Everything has been dealt in quite a new way.

Q)You play a Balakrishna fan, how did you manage it ?

The entire film is shot in Hindupur and the surrounding areas which is Balakrishna’s constituency. So naturally, most of them are Balayya Babu fans and I am one among them. I played the role and did all my scenes as a true Balayya fan.

Q)Being a Balayya fan, did you ever plan to rope him for a cameo ?

Initially, we had that plan but backed out as we thought that his presence would deviate the entire essence of the film.

Q)How has the film turned out ?

The film has turned out quite well. In fact, after watching the film, our producer Gopi Achanta gave me a huge hug. Generally, he is a very silent person and he responding in such a positive way has given me good vibes about the film.

Q)How was it working with Hanu Rgahavapudi ?

Oh ! he has done a superb job. Right from the first frame of the film, it is completely his creativity and thought process. We discussed a lot during the scripting stages and once the film went on floors, it was his one man show.

Q)Were you surprised by the profits that Bhale Bhale Magadivoy made ?

Even today, I am hugely shocked with the way the film became such a huge hit. I always knew that the film would be a good hit but never expected it to be such a rage.

Q)So, have you become more careful about your films now ?

Yes ! One thing I clearly understood that the audience expect some entertainment from me. Keeping all my sensibilities in check, I am only doing movies which are different and at the same time have ample entertainment.

Q)What are your future projects ?

I start shooting for my next film in the direction Mohan Krishna Indraganti today. Then, I have a film with the director of Uyyala Jampala.
