Young hero Raj Tharun, has been going great guns after giving back to back hits. He is back with his latest film Seetamma Andaalu Ramaiyya Seetralu. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
Q) You are only doing different films off late. Any particular reason?
That is the basic idea. A normal guy like me should try different stuff and then only I can connect with the audience.
Q) Is there any pressure after giving back to back hits?
Yes ! there is a lot of pressure to succeed but the expectations have doubled this time around.
Q) What do you always work with new directors?
I feel that they have a lot of fire to prove themselves and will give their best output. Also, they are of my age and we can freely discuss several issues without any egos.
Q) How do you assess your performance?
Once I watch the rough copy of my film, I disassociate with the film and move on to my next project. I never watch my films on screen and only go according to the story and idea of my director.
Q) How different is this film from Uyyala Jampala?
Even though this film also has a village backdrop, the story idea and narration is quite different. I play a very normal character and the way the director has narrated my story will be quite new.
Q) Which actors inspire you the most?
I try to create my own path and style but for some of my films, I got inspired by Ravi Teja a lot. I like his liveliness and charm.
Q) Recently, there are many complaints that you have become careless and arrogant?
Laughs ! you can call any of my producers and enquire about my attitude. I am a directors actor and never trouble anyone.
Q) Why did you choose to do a multi-starrer with Vishnu?
The project is a remake of a Punjabi film. During the screening, I enjoyed the comedy big time and decided to be a part of it right away. I am having a superb time shooting with Vishnu who is like one of the most decent persons I have ever met.
Q) Why are you only working with new heroines?
I am not in a position to do films with some known faces. The pairing should look nice and right now I am doing films with new faces like Artana who is a very talented actress.
Q) Given a chance which top actress do you want to romance?
I have a huge crush on Samantha and would love to romance her.
Q) Your upcoming projects?
Post the release of this film, I will do a film in Geetha Arts and then have a Dil Raju project.
