V V Vinayak is going through a lot of pressure as he has taken the mantle of directing the comeback film of Chiranjeevi. Let’s read on to find out what Vinayak has to say about the film and him directing Chiru after a long gap.

How tensed are you about the film’s release?

I am not tensed one bit and am already feeling that our film will be a super duper hit. After seeing the first copy of the film, Chiranjeevi garu gave a tight hug and appreciated me for the film. Looking at his confidence, I am also quite happy with the end product.

Did Akhil’s failure reflect on this project?

No! not at all. The fact that I was very heart broken after Akhil’s failure is true. But once again it was Chiranjeevi who supported me throughout and gave me this project to prove myself again.

Most of them have watched Kaththi. What should they expect from the remake?

All those who have watched Kaththi will be surprised to see how well Chiranjeevi has owned the film and performed. And all those who did not see the film will feel thrilled to see a fun and hard hitting film at the same time.

Why did Anushka back out of the project?

Purely because of date problems. She was very curious to do the film but because she had blocked all her dates for Baahubali and Om Namo Venkatesaya. Kajal was always on my mind and luckily when Anushka said no, she was the obvious choice.

Reason for choosing a remake?

To score a sure shot hit. As the subject of Kaththi was a proven one and suited Chiranjeevi’s stature and image, we decided to go for it.

Will Khaidi have an emotional and lengthy dialogue like the film Tagore had?

Yes ! During the climax, there is a scene where Chiranjeevi has given a superb performance. The way he mouths long dialogue about the problems of farmers will bring tears to your eyes.

Will this film have any scenes which will help Chiru in politics?

No! not at all. There is no connection with politics as this film deals with the general problem of farmers.

Do you think that audience will appreciate Chiru’s antics at this age?

You will know the answer after watching the film tomorrow. I feel that Chiranjeevi will become a huge inspiration not only for the younger generation but for all the senior actors in the industry. The way he has danced, performed only shows his dedication and sincerity towards the art.

You have directed both Charan and Chiru. What difference did you find?

Charan is a sincere actor who comes to the sets and does his job and leaves. But Chiranjeevi is one actor who is interested to know what all is going on about the other aspects of the film as well.
