Annapurna Studios, which was established by Akkineni Nageshwara Rao in 1975, has teamed up with Anil Ambani’s Reliance Media Works to manage the studio in Hyderabad. The deal between the two firms was struck recently and as per the agreement, Reliance Media Works will manage and operate the entire studio and also expand the digital post production facilities.
Annapurna Studios has played host to hundreds of film shootings and TV serials in the past few decades. With a boom on Television content and growth in entertainment sector at large, there’s a huge demand for floor space, production and post production facilities. At this juncture, this alliance between Annapurna Studios and Reliance Media Works is expected to be a win-win situation for both the parties.
