A demand for a ban on the movie ‘Woman in Brahmanism’ is being raised by many Brahmin welfare associations across the state and a delegation led by Mr. Gidugu Rudra Raju has submitted an official memorandum to Minister D.K.Aruna over this matter. Claiming that the film is a blatant attack on the sensibilities of the community, the associations have also demanded action against the Censor Board for clearing the movie.
‘Women in Brahmanism’ is a low budget B grade movie and the film’s trailer has generated controversy ever since it appeared in YouTube yesterday. Minister D.K. Aruna has promised to look into the matter and take appropriate action.
The movie is based on a cult classic written by popular writer Chalam but many allege that the film is just another sleazy project to make a quick buck.
