The first look of Anjali starrer Geethanjali was launched in style today in Hyderabad. The film is said to be a horror comedy and it also stars Srinivas Reddy in a lead role, apart from a host of other comedians including Brahmanandam, Satyam Rajesh, Shakalaka Shankar and Madhu Nandan. Newcomer Raj Kiran has directed the film and MVV Satyanarayana has produced the film. Kona Venkat is presenting the film, apart from writing the dialogues and screenplay.
V V Vinayak graced the event as the chief guest and said, “Kona Venkat narrated me this story a long time ago and I am really glad that it is finally taking shape. I’m confident that the film will be a big hit.” Kona Venkat thanked the entire team for delivering their best and stated that Anjali was the best fit for the role. “We should be proud that a Telugu girl like Anjali is doing extremely well in films and I urge everyone to encourage more Telugu actors and technicians.”
The highlight of the event was Brahmanandam himself, who was elated with the honour he received from the entire team of the film. “I have done 987 films so far and I will forever be grateful to all the directors and writers who gave me such good roles over the years. I’ll keep acting and make people laugh till the last breath of my life,” he said. Praveen Lakkaraju has scored the music and Sai Sriram is the cinematographer.
