Anjali is one of the new entrants in Tollywood who has made everyone sit upright and take notice of her talent. Although she’s a Telugu girl, it wasn’t until she acted in quite a few critically acclaimed Tamil films that Telugu filmmakers and producers noticed her. She’s playing one of the lead roles in Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu starrer Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.

In fact, she’s playing the title role ‘Seetha’ in the film and she’s paired up with Venkatesh. When director Srikanth Addala and producer Dil Raju was searching for an appropriate actress for Venkatesh in this film, several actresses had turned down the offer. Around the same time, Anjali starrer Journey was making waves in Andhra Pradesh and she was signed up for the role.

In a recent interview, when Anjali was asked why she chose to act opposite a senior actor, she stated that she is extremely happy with the important role she’s playing in the film. “I don’t believe in chemistry and physics between actors. I have absolutely no issues acting with senior actors,” she said. The promos of the film are already out and she has caught quite a few eyeballs.

Meanwhile, she’s currently busy with the shooting of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Balupu. She’s playing the role of a medical student in this action comedy. Apart from these two Telugu films, she’ll soon be seen in three more Tamil films including Vishal starrer Madha Gaja Raja and Settai, which is a remake of Delhi Belly.
