Kamal Haasan will soon make his debut in Hollywood, if the latest announcements made at IIFA, Singapore are anything to go by. After talking about his upcoming film Vishwaroopam, he announced that he’s going to team up with Barrie Osborne, a leading Hollywood producer. In the past, he was one of the producers of films like Lord Of The Rings (LOTR), The Waterhorse, The Warrior’s Way and The Prophet. Kamal Haasan and Osborne have been friends for years now and recently when Kamal Haasan was in Los Angeles for the post production of Vishwaroopam, he met Osborne and showed him the film. Talking about Kamal Haasan, Osborne said, “I was quite impressed with Vishwaroopam. After that we started talking about the idea to work together. It is such an honour to know him because his knowledge of literature and films is like that of an encyclopedia.” Apparently, their project is going to be story of Indian history and tradition told in a Hollywood style. Kamal Haasan said that they have just decided that they should work together in near future and nothing else including story, cast and crew have been finalized yet. It’s great news that Kamal Haasan is finally going to make his debut in Hollywood as well. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
