There is no doubt that Katrina Kaif is one of the hottest and most sought after stars in the country today. Ever since her sizzling number ‘Sheila ki Jawani’ was out, our Telugu producers were keen on getting her to perform item songs in Telugu films. This interest doubled after her recent ‘Chikni Chameli’ performance in the upcoming Agneepath.
Sources say that a few Telugu producers approached Katrina Kaif with an offer as high as 1 Crore for an item song but they were turned down. Katrina reportedly said that she does not want to spoil her ‘Malleswari’ image by performing item numbers in Telugu films.
We do not know whether Katrina is really conscious about her image or if she currently is not interested in working down south. But for now, our Telugu heroes will have to be content with watching her on screen as shaking a leg with her seems to be an impossibility.
