Comedy actors have a major part to play in a film's success these days. Films like Ready, Dhee, Krishna and others are more famous for the roles comedy king Brahmanandam played in those films. Venumadhav's comedy tracks in Sye and Dil are some of the most memorable scenes in those films, while the combination of Ali and Poori Jagannath has produced some of the best laughs in the industry. Subsequently, comedy actors are said to be hiking up their rates. Brahmanandam is now demanding atleast Rs.2 lakh a day from his producers and producers are willingly shelling out the amount. Ali, Venumadhav, Sunil are said to be charging Rs. 1.5 lakhs a day while Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Krishna Bhagwan and Raghu Babu charge between Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,00,000 a day. The producers are surely not smiling at the rates the comedians are charging to make their audience smile!
