R Narayana Murthy, the actor-director who is known for his leftist movies came down heavily on the government's decision to increase ticket prices. The actor talked to the press at Prasadz labs and said that the decision was akin to a deathblow to small films in the state. 'The government does not take any steps to ensure that the theaters maintain a minimum of 60% seats in the lower stalls, but they go ahead and increase the prices of higher stalls. This will prevent the common man from seeing films and is a condemnable decision. The decision to hike ticket prices in the first two weeks is much better than this', said the actor.
