Nayantara the buxom Malayalee girl and Trisha, the Chennai cutie, are now in the thick of a cold war. Unlike their counterparts in Bollywood who rush to the media at the slightest pretext, our southern stars prefer more private battles. Their differences which started at the cricket event IPL, apparently intensified with who’ll play heroine for the Vikram-starrer “Kuruvi.” Though Nayantara was initially favored, Trisha stepped in late and walked away winner, thanks to her “friendly relationship” with Vikram. A seething Nayantara, though was not be left behind. She got her revenge through her IPL mascot Vijay, who according to sources close to Trisha suddenly cut off all communications with her. Incidentally it was Trisha who was supposed to be the original mascot, but without realizing the mass popularity of the event, she let it slip by, only to watch Nayantara shoot into the limelight. According to sources close to both, Tollywood will be their latest battle ground. While Trisha has bagged prestigious projects with Mahesh Babu and Ravi Teja, Nayantara has had her share of coups with big heroes like Venkatesh and Balakrishhna.
