Veteran actor Nambiar, who acted in several Telugu and Tamil films, passed away last evening. He was 89. Nambiar made his entry into the film field as early as 1935 and has acted in several films since. Nambiar was also a stauch devotee of Lord Ayyappa and is known to have taken the Ayyappa Deeksha 65 times in his life. He is also the 'Guruswami' for people like Rajnikanth and Amitabh Bachchan.
