Okka Ammayi Thappa, the film which has been creating a lot of positive buzz over the past few days thanks to its exciting trailer, is all set for a grand release on June 10. In his exclusive chitchat with us, the film’s debut director Rajasimha Tadinada revealed his journey in Tollywood.

Rajasimha said that he was into the entertainment world since his childhood and that he was a professional ventriloquist in his young days. During his performance at Madras Ugadi Puraskaram, legendary director K Viswanath spotted him and assigned him with the job to teach ventriloquism techniques to Victory Venkatesh during the making of Chinnabbayi.

Explaining his entry in films as a writer, Rajasimha said that producer Suresh Babu asked him to write a scene on the sets of Venky’s Preminchukundam Ra. He later joined director Jayanth C Paranjee in his writing and direction team and later went on to work with Paruchuri Brothers as their assistant writer for nearly 6 years. Incidentally, the super hit ‘Brahmanandam’s body in fridge’ track from Bavagaru Baagunnara was penned by Rajasimha himself.

Rajasimha later worked for nearly 30 popular films as a writer, before making his directorial debut with Okka Ammayi Thappa. The film stars Sundeep Kishan and Nitya Menen and it has been produced by Anji Reddy.
