​Promotions become a game changer in Tollywood

Whenever you see a flashy Bollywood hero and heroine wearing some sleek designer clothes and promoting their film, the only thought was when are we going to see our own native Tollywood stars in these avatars. Things have drastically changed now and movie promotion is the latest bug that has smitten the Tollywood stars off late.

Several stars have taken these promotions seriously and have come to an understanding that it is the aggressive promotions that take your film to another level and manage some huge openings. One can also say that promoting the film hugely does not ensure a blockbuster result but it definitely helps the film to open big.

In today’s day and age, when the film’s life is just about a week or so, these promotions play a major role in bringing the audience to the theaters. Film promotion was existing since a long time in Tollywood, but the way Rajamouli’s Baahubali was packaged and promoted opened new horizons and brought a respect for Telugu films.

With top stars like Mahesh, Prabhas and several other actors aggressively promoting their films, the rules of the game have now changed and the reach of their films have gone to another level. Same is the case with the small budget films too. A film like Cinema Choopista Mama, which was declared a huge hit needs to be promoted post its release so that it draws even more audience and ensures more profits to those associated.

All said and done, movie marketing in Tollywood has taken a new dimension and one need not be surprised to see some very interesting and naive promotional campaigns being carried by our film makers to sell their films even better.
