One of the greatest directors of all time, Steven Spielberg is in India to interact with select few members from Bollywood film fraternity. He was invited to India by Anil Ambani, the head of Reliance Entertainment which has been funding several projects for DreamWorks studios in US. Incidentally, Spielberg is one of the founders of DreamWorks studios and in recent times, Reliance Entertainment had funded Spielberg’s Lincoln and War Horse, apart from films like Cowboys & Aliens, The Help, Real Steel and The Fighter.
Spielberg will be interacting with select few filmmakers from India to impart knowledge about filmmaking and also to learn about the kind of cinema Indian filmmakers have been making in recent years. One among the chosen few to interact with Spielberg is RGV. It’s indeed a rare honour to meet one of the greatest directors ever and RGV has often quoted Spielberg’s works as a big influence on him before he made it big as a director in Telugu and Hindi.
Apart from RGV, some other prominent celebrities who have been invited to meet Spielberg are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, Anurag Kashyap, Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Abhishek Kapoor, Habib Faisal, Prabhu Deva, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan.
