Director Shankar's magnum opus Shankar starts its shoot from today, 8 September, at an undisclosed location in the US. Shankar, Rajnikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and a crew comprising 40 technicians left for the US last week. The film is being touted as India's costliest ever and is being pegged at Rs. 140 crores. The film is being produced jointly by Aingaran International and Eros International.
