Prabhu-Deva

Prabhudeva, ace choreographer turned director, is one of the most sought after directors in Bollywood today. After Wanted and Rowdy Rathore became huge hits, he has been approached by several producers to make more films and currently he’s shooting a film titled Rambo Rajkumar. Meanwhile, his latest film, Ramaiyaa Vastavayya, the Hindi remake of Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenu Vaddhantana, is gearing up for a massive release on July 19. Girish and Shruti Haasan are playing the lead roles in this film and Sonu Sood is playing an important role. Kumar Taurani is producing the film under TIPS films banner.

Prabhudeva, Girish and Kumar Taurani were in Hyderabad yesterday to promote the film. Talking about his association with Telugu cinema, Prabhudeva said, “Telugu film industry will always be close to my heart because everything I’m today in Bollywood is because of my career in Telugu cinema. It all started here and that’s one of the reason why TFI and Hyderabad is like home for me. One day, Kumar Taurani approached me to remake a Telugu film and handed me the DVD of Nuvvu Vasthanante Nenu Vaddhantana. They didn’t know and even believe that I had directed the film in Telugu and finally, I had to convince them by playing the movie, where I showed them my name in the credits. I can never forget that incident. I believe that emotions and relationships between people are the same no matter we are and that’s why this remake will also work in Hindi.” The film’s songs have become quite popular already and all eyes are on the lead pair, Girish and Shruti Haasan.
