A couple of years ago, Ram Gopal Varma made headlines with his controversial movie, Killing Veerappan. The film was based on the final days of the notorious sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. Now, yet another movie based on Veerappan’s life is in the offing.
E4Entertainment, the banner that will soon bankroll Arjun Reddy’s Tamil remake, is going to make an ambitious movie after the book ‘Veerappan – Chasing The Brigand’ penned by K Vijay Kumar. This film will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Efforts are also on to make an original series in Hindi and English for Television and OTT digital streaming platforms.
