BJP leader, Venkaiah Naidu has been arrested in Hyderabad city. A huge group of BJP activists and leaders including Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya and others tried to besiege the Raj Bhavan earlier today. They were protesting against the high prices of essential commodities and government’s lack of seriousness in tackling the issue. The police got into an argument with the group and they had to arrest Venkaiah Naidu when he did not relent despite their repeated demands. Situation in that part of the city has turned tense with scores of police man guarding and patrolling the area to ensure peace and safety.
