Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy held an impressive roadshow in
Guntur yesterday. The Chief Minister, for once made a full fledged
attack on both the TDP and the PRP in his speeches yesterday.
'Chandrababu Naidu amma ki annam pettadu kaani, chinnamma ki bangaram
golusu vestaadanta. He was the one who increased the price of rice
from Rs. 2/ kilo to Rs. 5.25 per kilo. Now he says he will give it
free. For 9 years, he maintained that nothing should be given free.
Today, when it is a matter of coming to power, he is going on a
promise making spree. How can you believe him? He should be renamed
All Free Babu. And then there is another leader. He was in the film
industry for 30 years, he earned crores there. Never spent a pie for
his own village. Now, he comes and says he will improve the lives of
8 crore andhraites. How do we trust him? He keeps harping on change.
What is that change? Will he stop giving rice for Rs.2 or stop the
25 paise loans or stop the Arogyasri scheme? The only trustworthy
party in the state that has delivered on its promises is the Congress.
We have done more than our share of development in the state over the
last four and half years. You know that, you are witness to that.
Give us another chance and we promise development at an even more
rapid pace. We ask you to trust us on the basis of what we did and
bless us', said the Chief Minister.
