Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy's brother-in-law Ravindranath Reddy is Telugu daily Andhrajyothi's latest target. The daily ran a story today about how Ravindranath Reddy, who is also the mayor of Cuddapah, procured a piece of land near Madhapur illegally and started construction there. The value of the land is said to be close to Rs. 30 crores. The government played its part and got the land regularized by passing a special GO. The opposition parties have latched onto the news and have started off full fledged agitations. The Praja Rajyam and Telugu Desam party members have held dharnas in front of the disputed land and have demanded that the government immediately arrest Ravindranath Reddy. Ravindranath Reddy, on his part, has threatened to sue the paper for Rs. 50 crores in case they do not prove their allegations.
