Praja Rajyam party founder Chiranjeevi met up with Congress MP Girish
Sanghi at his residence yesterday. Though both leaders insisted it
was a friendly meet, the press gave its own color to the story.
Chiranjeevi actually visited the Balaji temple in Sanghi Nagar and
offered prayers along with his wife Surekha. On receiving news about
Chiranjeevi's arrival, Girish Sanghi went to the temple and invited
him to his residence. Chiranjeevi visited Girish's residence and
stayed there for about half an hour. Later he clarified that the meet
had no political significance at all and that he had visited Girish
Sanghi like two friends would visit each other. The media asked him
if he had invited Sanghi into his party to which Girish Sanghi replied
that both of them would continue working for their respective parties.
Chiranjeevi also said that he will visit old friends irrespective of
what party they belong to and asked the media not to relate everything
politically.
