Chiranjeevi will take state 20 years back – YSR

18 November 2008, Hyderabad.

Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy said that if Chiranjeevi's ideas were implemented, the state would be taken 20 years back in terms of development. YSR was referring to Chiranjeevi's statements that the state government was taking up too many new projects and neglecting the older projects. 'Chiranjeevi is currently touring Rayalaseema. Let him go and see the projects that are taken up there and then say that they are unnecessary. If we implement his ideas, we will be taken back by 20 years. It was the people's intelligence that they brought the Congress to power. There is no way that the TDP would have constructed so many projects in the span of 5 year', said the Chief Minister.
