The Congress is playing its election cards pretty well. While Praja Rajyam party founder Chiranjeevi goes around the state gathering support, the Congress is pulling away the star's relatives into their camp. The appointment of Ratna Bindu, who is a relative of Chiranjeevi as the mayor of Chiranjeevi has come as a shock to many council members from the town. Vijayawada mayor Mallika Begum had resigned at the end of her term and an appointment was pending for the last few days. The Congress moved its cards swiftly today morning and Mallika Begum's resignation was accepted even as orders appointing Ratna Bindu were passed.
