It is yet another proud moment for India. Chandrayaan, India's mission to put a satellite into the moon's orbit was a success and now the project has given us another sweet success. The Moon Impact Probe which was so far attached to the satellite has detached from it and has fallen onto the moon. The Moon Impact Probe (MIP) has been painted with the tricolor so that when it lands on the moon, it symbolically represents Indian presence on the moon. The dream to conquer the moon has finally come true. The MIP probe detached from the Chandrayaan at around 8:10 pm tonight, had a twenty minute journey lasting a distance of 100 km and finally landed on the moon. The first signals from the MIP has been received and the mood in ISRO is one of jubiliation.
