The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken serious note of the murder of Moddu Seenu in the Anantapur jail. The NHRC has said that the government should own responsibility for the murder. The government has been ordered to pay up a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to Lakshmi Rajyam, wife of Seenu before month end and to also transfer the jail staff in Anantapur immediately. The jails department has been ordered to send a comprehensive report about the incident before December 1.
