'We are a secular party and so there is no way we can join hands with the BJP', these were the words of Praja Rajyam party leader Chiranjeevi a few days ago. After this clear denial of a pact, BJP President LK Advani did not give up and during his speech at the public meeting in Hyderabad, he still said that the BJP was hopeful of a pact with the PRP. Now, in a gesture completely unlike the BJP, Bandaru Dattatreya, the state BJP incharge met up the pilgrims going to Haj at Haj House in Nampally and conveyed his best wishes to them. The reason for this sudden volte face from the leader is not known, but political analysts sure see it as a move to woo the PRP.
