The Congress MP from Vijayawada seems to have a magnetic attraction for
controversies. In a routine TV show on Thursday featuring Rajagopal and
Harish Rao, the MP stunned one and all by telling Harish Rao not to “bark
like a dog.” Harish Rao blinked in disbelief, recovered his composure and
shot back by referring to Rajagopal as an “idiot.” Earlier in the week,
Rajagopal had a run-in with senior Telengana leader Mr V Hanumantha Rao.
Though details of the shout-fest were not disclosed it was reported that
Congress president D.Srinivas, who hails from telengana, himself, was
totally displeased with Rajagopal’s behaviour. Sources close to the MP
are of the opinion that the current financial crisis is having an adverse
impact on Rajagopal and his prestigious real estate project – Lanco
Towers. Though the promoters say that the project has been sold out, there
are rumours that buyers are not in a position to go ahead with the
transaction owing to the steep fall in property prices.
