According to reports just coming in, KCR has told party cadre in Nizamabad
that the Congress high command in Delhi has responded positively to
Telengana. An invitation for discussion on this aspect, KCR said, will
reach him within a week. He told a stunned gathering in NIzamabad, that the
Congress is working towards delivering its 2004 poll promise. The Congress
representatives in the State are yet to comment on the issue. Whatever the
outcome, this declaration by KCR changes the entire coalition equation in
the State politics. But there are many political analysts who are (on Live
TV) stating that this development is on expected lines only. They feel that
with this single move, the Congress will negate any advantage that the TDP
and BJP have had in the sensitive Telengana issue. They feel that since the
UPA’s chances in the coming elections are shaky, the government at the
Center will do everything in its power to strengthen its hold on A.P. |
