Chiranjeevi’s Kadapa tour is an unprecedented success. Even at 10:30 in
the night, the crowds are packed to the rafters in the streets of Kadapa.
Every word the Mega star speaks is greeted with raptures. Young, old, men,
women and children listen to him in total attention. Chiranjeevi repeatedly
drove its home a single point agenda. “I am not against projects” he
clarified. “I am against the corruption that goes on in the projects. Let
us drive this evil called corruption.” The crowd cheered and clapped
continuously. Even loyal Congress workers admit that they are totally taken
by surprise. Though it tries to maintain a brave front, Chiranjeevi has
managed to rattle the Congress. The resounding welcome given to Chiranjeevi
in The CM’s home constituency has apparently reached the ears of Pranab
Mukherjee in Delhi. The veteran Congress leader who also heads the CWC has
reportedly called for an AP Strategy meet in Delhi on the 26th of November.
YSR is also slated to attend the event. D.Srinvas is already in Delhi and
trying his best to explain the Chiranjeevi phenomena to the high command.
Clearly the Megastar has struck a nerve.
