BJP MLA from the Pithapuram constituency in the East Godavari district, P Dorababu joined the Congress party. The leader came to the capital along with several of his followers and officially joined the Congress party in the presence of CM Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy and State Congress incharge D Srinivas. Several BJP ZPTC and MPTC sarpanchs from the area also joined the Congress party on the occasion. Dorababu spoke to the press later and said that the YS government had done development to the tune of Rs. 100 crores in his constituency and inspired by that he decided to serve the people as a Congress party worker from now on.
