Praja Rajyam party founder Chiranjeevi started off the Rayalaseema leg of his tour yesterday from Gorantla town in Anantapur district. Even though there was a continuous drizzle all day, the crowds that gathered to welcome the star and listen to his words. Chiranjeevi spoke forcefully and returned a few of the allegations made on him by the government. 'Anantapur is where the minister for agriculture Raghuveera Reddy gaaru hails from. Inspite of that, he has not been able to do anything for the groundnut farmers from the district. Also, when we mean change, we mean that we will eradicate corruption. Any scheme that has the acceptance of people will not be scrapped, it will be continued minus the corruption that is happening now. That will be the change that the PRP will bring', said Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi's Praja Ankita Yatra will continue for the next 5 days in Anantapur and Cuddapah districts.
