The Nandi award function held in the LB stadium last evening were full of political overtones and turned out to be a grand affair as long as the Chief Minister Dr. YSR was around. The function was full of political posters and pictures of YSR and D Srinivas were prominently visible. Superstar Krishna spoke at length and said that YSR should be elected the Chief Minister again. Krishna received the NTR National Award for the year 2003. 'My favorite actor is NTR and receiving an award named after him from my political hero Dr. YSR is giving me double happiness. It will take atleast 2-3 years for programs like Jalayagnam to reach completion and hence the Congress government should be given another term', Krishna said. Jury member Dr. Mohanbabu spoke and said that the Congress government has given the film industry whatever it asked for. He said that the Congress government had treated the film industry very well and hence it should be elected again. Mahesh Babu, who was supposed to be the star attraction of the function for the Congress, refrained from making political statements. He expressed happiness at taking his award in front of his dad and thanked his fans for the support. Nagarjuna also refrained from political statements, but thanked the Chief Minister for agreeing to hike ticket prices.
