The BJP is getting ready to start its Sankalp Yatras in the state from September 21. BJP general secretary Somu Veeraraju said yesterday that the yatras will start from four different places in the state and conclude in a public meeting which will be attended by BJP president LK Advani. The yatras will last for 18 days and cover a distance of 1800 kms, they said. Meanwhile, BJP leaders Bandaru Dattatreya, Indrasena Reddy, Vidyasagar Rao and Jhansi Rani met the High Court Chief Justice Mr. AR Davey and submitted a petition to him demanding that September 17 be observed as ‘Telangana Liberation Day’. They requested the Chief Justice to intervene in the matter and issue orders to the State government to conduct the ‘Telangana Liberation Day’.
