With the CPM more or less confirming a pact with the TDP, the Praja Rajyam party is looking out for new avenues. It is being said that the Samajwadi Party is making its moves fast to enter into a tieup with the Praja Rajyam. SP leader Amar Singh talked to the press yesterday in New Delhi and said that he would be meeting Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad on Sunday and that a formal announcement would be made soon after. This pact will help in bringing a lot more star power to the Praja Rajyam party. It is well known that Amar Singh is very very close to the Bachchan family and so, the entire Bachchan clan will be expected to descend to campaign for the Praja Rajyam. Also, actress Jayaprada will also be expected to come to campaign as she is an active member and MP of the Praja Rajyam. Amar Singh's strategy seems like a double edged sword as it is known that the SP's main rival in UP, Mayawati is entering into a pact with TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu. This move will definitely weaken the TDP's standing here and will also aim to reduce her national appeal.
