A training helicopter belonging to the AP Flying Club crashed in the middle of a lane in the Sanathnagar area today. Both pilots are suspected to be dead. The chopper crashed in a lane right next to a Ganesh pandal in the area and immediately burst into flames. Eyewitnesses say that a major mishap was averted as the crash would have caused many more casualties had it crashed on the road or on some of the houses in the area. The chopper immediately burst into flames on landing and the locals have been trying to put out the fire. Further details are awaited.
