What do you expect from a movie that’s releasing For Dussera? A complete family entertainer.. if not, at least an entertainer with some freshness.. if not, at least an easy go movie that would not put you under too much trauma.. well we had all these kinds of movies this season- Chintakayala Ravi, Ashta Chamma, Souryam. Kausalya Supraja Rama offers you what none of these could- with a plotline that has been reused innumerable times, this is one offering that we can safely refuse.

What is it about: Sri Ram( Srikanth) is a software developer working for Ranga Rao( Kota Sreenivas Rao) who is desperate for a bank loan. The loan apparently is for the treatment of his wife whom he brings to a hospital in a comatose state in the first scene. Nothing more said the story goes on with Sri ram acting as a caretaker of his boss’s house for 10 days when he is gone trying to do his best so he could get the promised surety from him for the loan. Supraja( Charmee) happens to be Ranga Rao’s daughter who initially hates Ram. Supraja has recently lost her elder sister Kausalya( Manjula) in an accident after Ranga Rao disagrees to her love marriage. If you still cant guess- Supraja falls in love with Ram after the endless list of good deeds he pulls off in that house for 10 days. Finally what happens to Ram’s wife and how do things unfold is what the movie is about.

What is Good: Its not a typo error.. this is exactly what you will be wondering all through the movie. Bramhanandam who plays a thief is the only bottle of fresh water that you find in this marathon of emotional melodrama and shallow comedy.

What is bad:First it’s a copied script from the nineties which has been changed sufficiently to suit the eighties! The comedy could have been far better with the kind of cast the director chose. Ali, Raghubabu have been completely underused. The music is average but frankly you wouldn’t care even if Koti recreated magic. Charmee obviously had a dress designer who hasn’t been paid in months, there is no other way you can explain her costumes in all the songs. Srikanth played his part well but he can’t pull it off on his shoulders alone. The movie also has very obvious twists and unnecessary illogical goodness in it, which no rational soul can explain and get away with.

Me Thinks:When you produce a movie or a direct a movie you select a target population. This one fails in judging the family audience that it was apparently aimed for. I don’t think even the lady population can stand a repeated attempt that is so shabbily treated.

Tailpiece: DON’T GO! The producers have already wasted their money.. be wise and save yours!
