Analysis : As expected, the album kicks off with the quirky title song Sardaar. Even though the hook up line is the same from Gabbar Singh, the tune and lyrics, everything has been changed. What hits you instantly are the energetic beats which will strike a chord with the masses big time. DSP has ensured that the mood of the number is upbeat and showcase Pawan’s charisma and style big time. This one is a treat for his fans.
Analysis : The second song in the album is O Pilla Subhanalla, which is a complete fun romantic number. The lyrics of the song are quite simple and reveal Pawan’s love for the heroine Kajal Aggarwal. Sung beautifully by Shreya Ghoshal, this soothing number will grow on you even more after you watch the romantic visuals and striking chemistry between Kajal and Pawan on screen.
Analysis : Moving on, the third song of the album is the item number Tauba Tauba featuring Laxmi Rai. This number is the rehashed version of a very famous Amitabh Bachchan number from the 80’s. What’s more interesting is the way DSP has intermixed the lyrics and tune with the classic. The hook up line is very catchy and will make you groove to the unusual beats of the song.
Analysis : The fourth song in the album is the full on emotional and upbeat number Aadevadanna Eedevadanna. This a small bit song which comes at a crucial point in the film. Lyrics are very powerful and elevate Pawan’s character in the film big time. This song will strike you more after seeing it visually.
Analysis : The fifth number in the album is Ni Chepakkalu which is once again a romantic number. Sung by DSP’s brother Sagar and the super talented Chinmayee, this is the best song in the album and will hit you instantly. DSP’s soothing tune and beautiful lyrics will make you fall in love with the song and make this number an instant hit.
Analysis : Finally, the album ends up with a total mass number Khakee Chokka. Sung by the famous Bollywood singer Mamta Sharma and Simha, this number is totally aimed at the masses and will showcase Pawan’s groovy steps and massy avatar. A complete out and out mass masala number which will only go well with the front benchers.
One can easily say that Devi Sri Prasad has played a safe game and composed the album of Sardaar Gabbar Singh keeping Pawan’s fans in mind. The album is a mixed bag and has all kinds of songs which will impress everyone. Sardaar, Ni Chepa Kallu and O Pilla are our picks and are instant chart busters. Finally, this album will be a even bigger hit once you watch the superb visuals and Power star unleashing his magic on screen.
