Veteran music composer MM Keeravani’s scintillating soundtrack had played a crucial role in the historic success of the Baahubali franchise. With the nationwide fame, also came in some amount of criticism for the music composer from a section of music lovers.
Netizens in the past had alleged that Baahubali’s theme music has uncanny similarities with the theme music of Akkineni Nageswarao’s 1949 film, Keelugurram. However, Keeravani, in a latest interview with a popular Telugu daily, has denied getting inspired from the yesteryear classic.
“I haven’t watched Keelugurram yet. But I’m happy that Baahubali’s theme music is even remotely similar to Keelugurram’s theme,” Keeravani said. The star composer further said that sometimes, he had to ‘imitate’ certain soundtracks upon his directors’ request.
