Star director Shankar is aggressively promoting 2.0, his highly-anticipated sci-fi thriller which is hitting screens on November 29. After 2.0’s release, Shankar will soon commence Bharatheeyudu’s sequel. It looks like the maverick director also has plans to make a sequel to his yesteryear blockbuster political drama, Oke Okkadu.
In a latest interview during 2.0 promotions, Shankar revealed that if things fall into place, he may direct Oke Okkadu’s sequel with Tamil star Vijay. Shankar further said that Vijay is acting in several political dramas of late and that Oke Okkadu’s sequel will be quite appropriate for the star hero.
In the past, Shankar and Vijay had teamed up with each other for 3 Idiots’ Tamil remake, Nanban (Snehithudu in Telugu). Incidentally, Shankar had worked as an Assistant Director under Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekhar.
