As expected, Superstar Mahesh Babu’s prestigious silver jubilee film, Maharshi, took the box-office by storm. In Nizam especially, the film collected a humongous share of Rs 6.38 crore on its opening day, setting a non-Baahubali day 1 record in the region.
Maharshi surpassed the previous top 2 and 3 Nizam movies, Baahubali (Rs 6.29 Cr) and Aravindha Sametha (Rs 5.77 Cr) to place itself next to Baahubali 2 (Rs 8.92 Cr) in the list of all time highest openers in Nizam. For years, Nizam has been Mahesh’s strong hold and the film is all set to topple the first weekend non-Baahubali records too.
