Director Puri Jagannadh once had a terrific track record and gave memorable blockbusters for almost all the star heroes. However, he has been having a tough time for the last few years, with none of his movies turning out to be successful at the box-office. The director is raring to bounce back to form with his ambitious action entertainer, iSmart Shankar.
Now, ever since iSmart Shankar’s theatrical trailer was released earlier this week, there have been several allegations that iSmart Shankar’s main plot is heavily inspired from the 2017 British sci-fi crime drama, iBoy. In iBoy too, the protagonist has a chip secretly installed in his brain, just what was shown in iSmart Shankar’s trailer.
Whether Puri has taken remake rights from iBoy makers or not is unknown yet. Will the director respond on the allegations?
