Prabhas’ Saaho opened to mixed reviews last week. But the film’s box-office collections, especially the Hindi version’s collections at single screens across the key North Indian markets like UP and Bihar, are humongous and are on par with any leading Bollywood star’s collections.
In a latest interview with a popular Telugu daily, Saaho’s director Sujeeth made an interesting comment about the film’s stunning performance in Bihar. “Ever since Saaho’s release, many people from North India, especially Biharis, have been calling me and appreciating the film and my work. One person went on to say that Biharis would have built a temple if I was born in Bihar,” Sujeeth said.
Sujeeth lamented that while those hailing from other states are praising him, people back home in the twin Telugu states have been criticizing his work in Saaho.
