Amid a lot of pre-release buzz and expectations from fans and trade circles, Balakrishna’s Ruler and Sai Tej’s Prati Roju Pandaage released on Friday. While Ruler received a heavily mixed response from all quarters, Prati Roju Pandaage has found patronage among a section of fans and family audience.
In its two-day theatrical run, Ruler collected a theatrical share of Rs 6.60 crore worldwide. While these numbers are somewhat decent, considering the high stakes involved, the film is staring at a huge disappoinment.
On the other hand, Prati Roju Pandaage utilized the holiday mood to its fullest and collected a decent share of Rs 6.90 crore worldwide from a gross of Rs 15 crore. The film is having a solid Sunday, with many screens across the twin Telugu states displaying houseful boards.
