Released on this day, in 2012, Nithiin and Nithya Menen’s romantic musical comedy, Ishq, went on to become a huge blockbuster. This Vikram Kumar directorial had revived Nithiin’s career and there has been no looking back for him since then.
Celebrating Ishq’s 9th anniversary, Nithiin took to Twitter and tweeted that the film will always hold a special place in his heart. Quote tweeting Nithiin’s tweet, Vikram wrote, “9 years of ishq. About time we got together again for one more,” hinting that a sequel to Ishq is on the cards.
Ishq had a chartbuster soundtrack scored by Anup Rubens and legendary cinematographer PC Sreeram’s splendid visuals. Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy had bankrolled the film.
