Bollywood star actress Alia Bhatt’s Netflix film Darlings is all set for a grand release tomorrow on the OTT platform. Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, the movie has been receiving a huge backlash from the audiences.
A day before the release of the OTT movie, Netizens are continuously tweeting to boycott Alia Bhatt and the movie also. The reason is that the promotional content including the teaser, trailer and posters showcased that Alia along with her mother ties her husband to a chair and tortures him the same way he tortured her. This made a section of netizens angry and asked Ali Bhatt why is she promoting domestic violence against men. Besides, they also started trending #BoycottAliaBhatt and #BoycottDarlings on social media.
Darlings stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Production joined hands to produce this OTT movie, which has Vishal Bharadwaj’s music.
