The Japanese sensation Godzilla: Minus One, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, clinched the Oscar for Best Visual Effects, triumphing over fierce competition like The Creator, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, and Napoleon.
Despite the sincere desire of many Indian movie buffs to experience Oscar-winning films on the silver screen, Godzilla: Minus One remains a distant dream. Regrettably, talks between the filmmakers and PVR Pictures have hit a roadblock, as reported by sources, leaving Indian audiences yearning for a theatrical release. Furthermore, the awaited arrival of Godzilla: Minus One on OTT platforms seems to be in limbo.
On another note, the monstrous showdown continues with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the fifth installment in the Monster Verse franchise, scheduled for a theatrical release on March 29, 2024, across major Indian languages, including Telugu.
